Safety Features

The concept of Mini-jumps is simple yet hides many years of development to optimise the product. They include a number of subtle yet important features which are not obvious at first glance...
The base is large and heavy enough to ensure the jump does not tip over too easily but light enough that children can carry them outside from storage without difficulty.
The shape was developed so an upright can fall easily if it comes into collision with a child, yet remain stable in use. The crossbars are hollow plastic and very lightweight so they don’t inflict injury if knocked yet can withstand high impact levels. They dislodge at the slightest knock if the equestrian enthusiast jumping them doesn't quite make it, yet are held into a rebate that prevents them blowing off in a wind (unlike some ponies!).
They are designed to crush if a jumper lands directly on them rather than roll under their feet, potentially causing injury. The end caps aid safety as little boys in particular sometimes use them as ‘lightsabres’ (which of course we cannot condone, but happens) and also stop spiders hiding in the tubes!
The youngest tester we have had was 3 years old and the oldest was 16. No testing was done under duress, once shown how they set up the entertainment was self perpetuating and lasted a very long time. The original Mini-Jumps classic prototypes are still in use 5 years after manufacture.
Get the kids to put down the games console, switch off the TV and get outside (or indoors if you have the space). With Mini-Jumps, exercise is so much fun

Deep base ensures stability but narrow width means it falls easily away if impacted.

The light but rigid crossbars displace if bumped into from either direction.

If a jumper accidentally lands astride the crossbars, they will slide down and away from them, minimising risk of injury.

Crossbars designed to crush if a jumper lands on them, preventing a roll hazard. They can be sqeezed back to shape or are relatively cheap to replace- nb: some whitening of the plastic may occur at the stress point, this is unavoidable and we consider the benefits outweigh this cosmetic issue.

Caps protect the ends of the crossbars from hurting the jumper in the event of striking them (and also stop spiders getting in if you leave them outside!)
